Kim Marshall, Your Canberra Clubs Community Ambassador

ambassador-kimKim Marshall has been involved with Canberra Southern Cross Club for most of her adult life, and now serves as a Director on the Board. She has a passion for community service, which plays a central role in both her social and professional endeavours. She is currently also the chair of the Community Contribution Committee, and a member of the ClubsACT Women in Clubs Committee.

A keen dancer, Kim is involved in the Southern Cross Social Dance club which is the only dance group in Canberra that plays live music every fortnight, something they have done continuously for the last 32 years.

Kim is retired now, but has undertaken senior management roles with the Australian Public Service in a diverse range of departments, influencing public policy and safe guarding the community. These include Australian Customs and Border Protection and the Clean Energy Regulator.

Graham “Joe” Henstock, Your Canberra Clubs Community Ambassador

ambassador-joeJoe is a Life Member and the current President of the Tuggeranong Vikings Women’s Hockey Club. Widely renowned for his profound contribution to Hockey in Canberra, Joe has coached and managed many teams including both Hockey ACT Mens and Womens squads competing in the national league.

His dedication to the Tuggeranong Vikings is legendary, fulfilling the role as President for about 10 of the last 15 years. His passion for clubs and the contribution they make to Canberra spurred him to make a submission to the PAC inquiry last year about the importance of clubs in the Canberra community.

For the last 15 years of his professional life Joe worked as a facilities manager for the Australian Defence Force Academy.
